/ Event Description

This semester we've seen many students in biology, chemistry, and related science disciplines open to exploring alternative career paths due to changes in federal funding affecting agency hiring trends and graduate school acceptances.

In response to these challenges, the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, in partnership with the Career Services Center, is hosting a Reverse Career Fair and Networking Event on Tuesday, April 15th, from 5:30-8:00 PM at the Mountainlair Student Union. During the first part of the evening, students studying Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Neuroscience will present their high-impact experiences, including research and capstone projects, at tables around the concourse. Following these presentations, students will have the opportunity to connect with employers in industries relevant to their degrees—fields they may not have considered before.

Additionally, there will be further opportunities to engage with students the next day, Wednesday, April 16th, through classroom presentations and industry panels.
Our goal is to give students the chance to showcase their incredible work, explore various career pathways in the sciences, and build their professional networks by engaging with alumni and industry professionals in a more relaxed environment.

While this event falls outside of most employers' typical hiring timelines, we believe it offers a unique opportunity to meet outstanding candidates for internships and full-time roles. By learning about our students' work and connecting with them directly, you may find new and exceptional talent.

We hope you'll partner with us for this inaugural event. If you have any questions or are interested in event sponsorship opportunities, please contact ali.anderson@mail.wvu.edu or brittany.gillespie@mail.wvu.edu.
