Forage for Faculty
Integrating Forage Job Simulations into Your Course
Forage is a free, online platform offering short, employer‑designed job simulations that allow students to experience real workplace tasks in fields such as business, technology, engineering, data analytics, marketing, and more.
Why use Forage in your course?
- Real‑world relevance – Tasks are created by leading employers (e.g., Deloitte, JPMorgan, Accenture, PwC).
- Low time commitment – Most simulations take 2–5 hours total.
- Flexible & asynchronous – Students complete modules on their own schedule.
- No cost to students or faculty
- Career readiness – Students gain resume‑ready experience and a completion certificate.
- Minimal grading burden – Can be assessed with a short reflection or certificate upload.
Simple ways to integrate
Forage helps students connect classroom learning with real workplace experience — without adding complexity to your course.
1. Required assignment or module
Assign one simulation aligned with course topics.
Example:
Complete the Deloitte Consulting simulation and submit your certificate + 1‑page reflection.
2. Extra credit option
Students choose any relevant simulation for bonus points.
3. Embedded course activity
Use specific tasks from a simulation as part of an existing assignment.
| Course Area | Example Use |
|---|---|
| Marketing | Market analysis task |
| Finance | Financial modeling task |
| CS / IT | Software engineering task |
| Management | Strategy or stakeholder analysis task |
4. Group discussion or project
Students complete a simulation individually, then compare approaches or present findings.
