Health Sciences Center (HSC) Student Career Center supports the students in the five health schools- DentistryMedicineNursingPharmacy and Public Health. Students can schedule one-on-one career counseling appointments (in-person and virtual), attend workshops, request presentations for courses or clubs, network with employers at HSC career fairs.

Health Sciences Student Career Center specializes in helping students in the five health schools develop their career plan. Whether you are just starting to explore your options or want to solidify your current plan, get the guidance and resources you need.

HSC Student Career Center includes:

  • Discover Your Strengths: Uncover your unique talents with CliftonStrengths and learn how to leverage them in your career.
  • Explore Career Paths: Dive into different health career fields, research potential roles, and understand the required education and certifications.
  • Confirm Your Interest: Discover shadowing opportunities and learn more through informational interviews. 
  • Grow Your Network: Develop a plan to effectively network at a career fair, professional conference, or online (LinkedIn). 
  • Craft compelling application materials: Refine your resume, CV, personal statement, and cover letter that showcase your skills and experience to reflect your unique authentic self. 
  • Ace Your Interviews: Develop your interviewing skills to learn how to confidently present yourself to potential employers and graduate programs.
  • Land That Internship or Job: Get personalized support to formulate your internship or job search strategy.
  • Evaluate Your Options: Determine what is important to you in a job offer or graduate program and negotiate appropriately.
