Student Employment
Being employed during the academic year, over summer or winter breaks, is a great way to earn extra money, build a professional network, and gain valuable job experience that can transfer into your desired career goals. Whether you choose to take on a Federal Work-Study position, regular student employment, graduate assistantship, or other form of employment, there are a multitude of opportunities for you both on and off campus. Explore your options and decide what’s right for you through your Handshake account.
Campus Partners
The Student Employment Team at Career Services can assist you with posting regular student employee positions and promoting your jobs throughout campus. As part of the WVU Student Employment Program, supervisors are required to post their student employment job opportunities in Handshake. Graduate Assistantships are encouraged to be posted but not required. To request a job posting to Handshake, please complete the Student Employment Job Posting Request Form. For more information, visit our Supervisor Resource page under Student Employment.
