4th Annual Mocktail Party & Fashion Show
March 4, 2015 – Bent Willey’s Pub
Hosted by the Center for Personal and Professional Development
To guarantee success in today’s competitive job market, being armed with the knowledge gained inside the classroom is simply not enough. More than ever, college grads must be proficient in skills and abilities learned outside of class. Professional etiquette and proper dress along with strong communication skills have become essential in gaining a competitive edge. The WVU Career Services Center is prepared to help you acquire these desirable qualities at the 4th Annual Mocktail Party & Fashion Show. This event is your chance to develop and test your networking skills while learning about the latest business fashions!
The Mocktail Party & Fashion Show is an interactive workshop specifically designed to provide juniors and seniors the opportunity to test their networking and communication skills on real-world recruiters in a simulated setting. At the event, you will learn how to successfully navigate a career fair, conduct yourself during formal and informal events, and dress appropriately for various business-related occasions.
Refreshments include appetizers and non-alcoholic ‘mocktails’! Every participating student will receive a gift bag with a $10 WVU Bookstore (Barnes & Noble) gift card, valuable discount coupons and information about other available resources. There will also be drawings throughout the evening for various prizes, with a grand prize drawing for an iPad Mini!
